Four towns, one van
Four towns on one round, and each of them puts a professional range somewhere slightly different — a rear extension, a narrow galley behind the kitchen, an island in a newer build.

Milton 02186 Rear-extension kitchens on the wide lots off Brush Hill and Canton Avenue, usually with room for a full range and a separate island cooktop. The duct run to the outside wall is often long enough to matter. -
Canton 02021 Newer construction south of Route 138 with island cooktops and remote blowers, and post-war ranches near the centre where the appliance sits in a compact galley. -
Wollaston 02170 Kitchens at the back of 1920s Colonials and two-families on narrow lots, where a hood usually has to exit through a side wall rather than the roof. -
Hyde Park 02136 Victorians around Fairmount Hill and post-war houses along River Street, where a wide range frequently ends up in a former rear porch with the ducting improvised around it.

Victorian on Fairmount Hill with a wall oven in a tight cabinet run. Convection roast ran with the fan sitting perfectly still. The fan relay had welded shut. Relay replaced and a full roast cycle tested.

Island cooktop with almost no clearance underneath, which he warned me about before starting. The induction zone dropped out under a heavy pan. A clogged cooling fan was making the board cut out.
